Project Details

Launched during the 2023-2024 winter season, Cast & Cut steak and seafood restaurant is the latest evolution of the Deer Valley Resort dining experience.

It was a team effort during the concept phase. Once we aligned on the direction, I took ownership of the execution. I developed the final logo, chose the typography, and designed the custom ampersand that became the centerpiece of the identity.

I wanted the ampersand to become the distinctive element of the logo, so I customized it and enclosed it in a circular form. The swooping ampersand legs and enclosed circle subtly reference a casting line for the seafood side of the brand, while also reading as a plate, connecting both parts of the menu. Sophistication with just enough playfulness to compliment this top-tier ski resort.
